Festival Organisers

Ayya Vimalanyani is a German bhikkhuni currently living in a small hermitage in the Sri Lankan forest. She has a special interest in early Buddhist texts and the lifestyle of nuns at the time of the Buddha. For her research, she translates sutras and texts on monastic discipline from ancient Chinese into English. She’s also an artist and publishes Dhamma Doodles under the pseudonym Ven. Yodha.

Akaliko Bhikkhu ordained at Bodhinyana Monastery with Ajahn Brahm as his preceptor and currently lives with his long term teacher Bhante Sujato at at the Monastery at the End of the World in Sydney. Bhante Akaliko is the founder of Rainbodhi LGBTQIA+ Buddhist Community, as well as a Buddhist chaplain at Western Sydney University and a member of the Board of Directors of the Buddhist Council of NSW.
